Homemade Fruit Snacks: Rolled fruit snacks are a favorite treat for kids when they go back to school, but who wants all those preservatives and dyes? Instead, make your own all-natural fruit snacks! Simply warm and mash your favorite mix of fruit and spread it on greased parchment paper. Bake at 170 degrees F (or your oven’s lowest temperature) for 5-8 hours with the oven door slightly open. When the sheet is still warm, cut it into strips and roll.

Pumpkin Muffins: This recipe is a great fall kids food for a yummy breakfast, and it couldn’t be any easier! Just mix a box of yellow cake mix with one can of pumpkin and blend until smooth. Separate into muffin tins and bake for 20-25 minutes at 350 degrees F. That’s it! If you want to make this treat a little sweeter, allow the pumpkin muffins to cool and then paint the tops with melted butter and dip in cinnamon sugar.

Inside-Out Caramel Apples: Try this fun twist on the classic fall snack. Cut an apple in half and scoop out the inside with a melon baller, making sure to get all the core pieces but leaving the edges so it makes bowl shape. Fill the apple “bowl” with melted caramel (either homemade or the prepackaged kind that is used to coat caramel apples) and refrigerate until the caramel has solidified. Slice the halves into bite sized wedges and serve!

Baked Stuffed Apples: For a healthier twist, cut the tops of a batch of apples and hollow out the insides with a melon baller. Fill each apple bowl with your favorite granola mix and a small dab of butter and replace the tops. Arrange in a shallow baking dish and pour apple cider into the bottom of the pan. Bake for 1 hour at 350 degrees F, basting occasionally. Serve with yogurt and honey on top!

Homemade Applesauce: Try this easy homemade alternative to your favorite autumn snack. Just put 8 apples (peeled, cored, and cut into 1 inch cubes) in a slow cooker with 1 tsp. of lemon juice, a lemon peel, 5 tsp. of brown sugar, and a cinnamon stick. Cook on Low for 6 hours.
