Rubber Ducky Baby Shower

if you're tasked with planning a baby shower and need a theme, here's a great one: a rubber ducky party! From online invitations and the cake to decorations and party favors, there's so much you can do with this theme that is fun and easy to plan.
  • Colors: Start with a color scheme of yellow, blue, and white. Whether you choose flowers, balloons, or both, stick with this colors scheme throughout. Incorporate these colors into the plates and party supplies, snacks (M&Ms or jelly beans perhaps?), and the all-important baby shower cake.
  • Decorations: In addition to balloons and/or flowers, you can really "wow" your guests with duck ponds. Create little ducky ponds at the shower using blue stones in low clear bowls topped with a little water. Get creative with the placement of your duck ponds. Line the path up to the party entrance, use them as table centerpieces, or find other interesting spots to incude them.
  • Favors: If you plan to have a favor at the shower, there are a lot of ways you can take this theme and run with it. You could get favors that share the color scheme, like candles or soaps. Or, you could really go all out with the rubber ducky theme and incorporate a rubber ducky into your favor with cookie cutters or frames. Once you start looking, you'll see there's quite a bit out there.
