Super Bowl Dessert Idea

If you watch all of the cupcake and cake shows on tv, you know that sometimes it's not just about baking a yummy dessert. Much of the art of being a skilled baker is tied to the presentation of your dessert. If you're hosting a Super Bowl party and want to create a dessert that doubles as a centerpiece, this is the dessert for you.
!ngredients:
  • 1 package cupcake mix (vanilla or chocolate)
  • 1/3 vegetable oil
  • 3 eggs
  • Baking cups
  • 1 container vanilla frosting
  • Food coloring (choose colors based on Super Bowl teams)
Directions:
Bake the cupcakes according to the package directions. Once they have cooled, decorate half with the AFC team's colors and the other half with the NFC team's colors. You can use the food coloring to get the colors just right. You will probably want to play around with the colors before you commit to mixing it with the vanilla frosting.
Once you have the cupcakes frosted in the jersey colors, pipe players’ numbers onto the cupcakes using white frosting. If you can fit it, also add the players' last names.
When the cupcakes are finished, place the cupcakes on the field. You can make the field using either green poster board with white tape to mark the field lines. You could also cover a rectangular tray with a green napkin. Then, arrange the cupcakes according to the Super Bowl starting lineup with the cupcakes facing each other for kickoff!
