Superhero Kids Birthday Party

A superhero birthday is a fun theme for the kids and can be also be fun for you too!

  • Invitations: Once you pick a superhero invitation, make sure to use language such as “Calling all superheroes!” You can even have fun with the time and location. For example, for the time you can say "When the bat symbol shines in the night sky." Just make sure parents know the real time of the party (maybe put it in parentheses).
  • Costumes: Also, let the guests know that they should wear their favorite superhero costume (in other words, let the moms know that last year's Batman costume will come in handy again!) For kids that don’t have a costume or forget to wear one, have a few extra capes and masks at the party for them to borrow.
  • Decorations: Decorations for the party can be simple too. Cut out Superman, Batman, and Spiderman symbols on black construction paper and tape them to balloons. Also, hang up an entrance sign that says “Superhero Training Camp.” At a “refueling station,” have snacks and drinks for the kids to enjoy.
  • Activity #1: During the party, the kids can decorate their own superhero cupcakes. To make Spiderman cupcakes, for example, place an Oreo cookie in the middle of the cupcake as the spider’s body and then use gummy worms as the spider’s legs.
  • Activity #2: A backyard superhero obstacle course is also a fun activity for the kids to do during the party. Set up obstacles like climbing through hula hoops and a ball throwing test that the kids have to pass in order to prove themselves as worthy superheroes.
